LUCKY break, we calls it, when the extras on the “Joy of Living” set had to clamor for the autographs of Irene Dunne and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. for a scene before the camera. After the day’s work, the extras took the hurriedly scribbled autographs, given during the scene, and sold them to fans for a neat twenty-five cents apiece.
Was there rejoicing among the extra ranks that night! And a joyful gathering together at the near-by beanery!
